Although they look ugly, trip people, and occasionally cause fires, power cords have been a necessary part of life for a long time.  Soon, however, we may be able to toss them, as a company intends to bring a wireless electricity system to the market in less than two years.

Given that today’s the 40th anniversary of the moon landing, we just had to write about something space-related, right?  And so here’s an interesting tidbit: even as NASA’s funding seems to dwindle every year, the UK is considering establishing its own version.

For the longest time, users who wanted to add the handy “Tasks” feature to their Gmail account had to dig into the “Labs” section in order to enable it. Now, however, Tasks has graduated from Labs, displaying right below the “contacts” button on the left bar of your Gmail interface.
