If your a Google Adsense Publisher, I’m sure you would be wondering how to increase earnings from Google Adsense without infringing on Google’s tight policies. Laura Chen, from the Google AdSense Support Team, sheds some light on this topic.

Laura has appeared in a video released by Google that answers three questions with respect to Adsense. While the first two questions are not that interesting for a keen publisher, the last question will surely make you jump with joy, if not, bring a smile on your face.

Our last question of the day comes from Jennifer of Baltimore, Maryland. She emailed us to ask, “Can I ask users to click my referral buttons?”

Jennifer, you should feel free to recommend and promote a product you’re displaying a referral button for, but please don’t use language that implies that users should visit your referral buttons to support your site or benefit you financially. In other words, you can say something like “I use Firefox and recommend it to browse the web” or “I love Picasa - click here to get this great software”, but not something like “Click on these links to help me earn money.” Also, please remember that this applies to specific calls-to-action on referral units only — publishers may not ask users to click on standard cost-per-click ads.
