Convert Text, Images, Sound, Videos, Archives and lots more online
Published by Sunny on February 17th, 2007 in Online SoftwarePreviously, I had reviewed Zamzar - an online file conversion site which upon converting the file, emails it to the user. This time, I am reviewing yet another online file conversion site. Not only does this site allow you to convert files located on your computer, but you can convert files that are hosted on a website!
How would you like a site that converts your images, text, sound, videos and archives into other formats? And all this for free! Thats exactly what Media-Convert does. Media-Convert has the ability to convert into more than 50+ formats which include mobile ringtones format that is compatible with leading hanset manufacturers such as Nokia, LG, Motorola and others.
Media-Convert can convert audio, image and text files, 3gp, flv, swf, amv, vob, mov, quicktime, ipod, avi, wmv, mpg, mp3, wma, amr, ogg, qcp, mp4, mpc, smaf, mmf, midi, nokia, sagem, motorola, aac, flac, real audio , jpg, bmp, gif, tga, png, xml, odg, odp, doc, pdf, rtf, ods, wk1, mdb, office, microsoft office, open office, Alcatel, Mitsubishi, Samsung, Nokia, Siemens, Nec, Panasonic, Sagem, Sharp, Sony, Trium, Sony-Ericsson, LG, Motorola compatible formats.
You can now convert a WMA file into an MP3 for your friend who’s using Linux, or convert that PDF file into a plain text file! Here’s how you do it:
- To convert a file located on your computer, check File mode, click Browse and choose the file, select input format (if autodetection fails) and output format, submit the form.
- To convert a file from an external site, check URL mode, enter the file URL, select input and output format.
- You can even make a screenshot of any website and convert it into any image type. To do so, check URL mode, enter the website URL and select an image output format.
- You can optionally give a password to the converted files.
Happy file conversions!
