Create Dynamic Social Site buttons

As I have said earlier, it is very important to submit your content to social bookmarking sites unless your blog is really famous and has a good following. It is true that a number of plugins out there can do the job of creating dynamic social site buttons for your content, but what happens if you want to use them on your own static content? Or are you the type who prefers to keep a tidy WordPress installation with minimal plugins installed? Also, many of these plugins use JavaScript, which only slows down your site’s loading time considerably.

Post Updated (January 20th, 2007)
To help you to create dynamic social site buttons, I have created pieces of code that append to any webpage you choose to create dynamic buttons. If your blog is hosted on WordPress.com, please follow this tutorial. The code contains dynamic links to your contents for Digg, del.icio.us, Reddit and Blinklist for now. I will update this post as and when I add new codes, so you might want to consider subscribing to this post’s RSS feeds.

Your buttons will look like this once the code is inserted: Social Bookmarking Code

Update 1 (20th January, 2007):

Added the following social site buttons:

Spread the word: Del.icio.us it   Digg it   Submit to Reddit   Submit to Blinklist   Add to Netscape   Furl it   Sphere It Help Yourself:   RSS comments   RSS posts   trackback trackback
