I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about the Blogger and WordPress blogging platforms recently, and being a WordPress fan that I am, I decided to push people into accepting WordPress as their medium of blogging. Sure, there are plenty of reasons why WordPress wins hands down against Blogger, but I won’t get into detail about that now.

So lets get started on shifting your blog from Blogger to WordPress shall we?

1. Assuming you have already created a WordPress.com hosted blog (ie. yourself.wordpress.com), log into it.

2. Next navigate to  Manage -> Import

3. Click on Blogger. You should now be on this screen:

4.  Click on the Authorize button and log in to your new Blogger account.

5. You will now see this screen:

6. Click on the Grant Access button.

7. You will then be taken back to your WordPress Admin Panel. Click on the Import button.

8. Once the posts have been imported, you can set the authors by clicking on the Set Authors button. You will then be taken to this screen:

Click on Save Changes, and thats it! You have successfully imported all your posts from your New Blogger account into your WordPress account. Now that wasn’t too hard was it? You can give yourself a pat on the back and get yourself a nice (diet) coke knowing that you are now supported by a huge community.
