Page Rank Update Galore
Published by Sunny on April 28th, 2007 in Internet, TechnoBeta StatusGoogle has finally updated the Page Rank after quite a few days. The last significant update hadn’t yielded much for many bloggers, but this time things seem to be different.
To start off with, an offliner on Yahoo! Messenger told me that TechnoBeta’s Page Rank had been updated; it was now 4, a notch up from the PR3. Things have gone well for me, my Web Services site - 1to5.us, has got PR2 inner pages and the main is PR2 as well.
You can check your site’s Page Rank by using this utility at 1to5 - Web Services. It will also show you the site’s Alexa Ranking and the amount of backlinks in Google, MSN and other leading search engines!
You can also check the Page Rank in a bulk amount. Do note that the Bulk Page Rank Checker utility has still not been perfected, will have to look into that someday!

This is nothing guys!! My sister’s blog on wordpress.com got PR4!!
Most blogs on WP.com who had PR0 have jumped to PR4!! Though mine has gone to only PR2

I don’t think the fact that they’re hosted on WP has anything to do with it. Omkar’s blog is also on WP and he only got PR1.

I’ve seen that, there seems to be something really strange in the PR system. Take for instance Subbu’s blog which is VERY new, and has 9 incoming links. And Jazz’s sister’s blog is only linked back by a couple of pages.. very strange indeed!

Maybe… its getting the high PR bcoz of wordpress. I recon reading somewhere about pages getting half PR of the main site. And WP.com has PR8… it can be a coincidence though

Hmm weird. I checked you sis’s blog ( the lilbuds one is her I assume) and 1to5 showed it as PR4 also 1to5 showed its yahoo backlinks as 103 and zero Google backlinks
jazzedup.info showed 19 google backlinks and 410 yahoo backlinks.
I suppose the fact that your sis’s blog is linked to WP.com AND WP.org ( PR8 and PR9) has something to do with it.

WTH? My sister’s blog is PR2. It’s hosted on multiply and it doesn’t have a single link except for google ads.

I am getting 14 backlinks from yahoo! for my blog
I made it day before yesterday I guess and not even a flying bird knows anyhting about my blog.
I am getting confused about the 14 backlinks.

my blog is PR4.. not that it is important to me
i just some really interesting stuff about how Google ranks their pages in math. something about Markhov chain model. and the actual searching falls under a complete different subject.. something to do with lexical analysis.. application of formal languages.
its amazing how something which looks so simple and is a part of our everyday existence has so much scientific depth!
