PayPerPost Backs Out on Performancing Deal
Published by Sunny on January 7th, 2007 in Internet, News - ViewsPayPerPost has reportedly backed out of the deal of acquiring Performancing. According to Ashok, PayPerPost states that they were after Performancing’s metrics tracking technology , which can provide real data about a blogger’s traffic and what’s being clicked on their blog.
It maybe recalled that PayPerPost had stated that they had made a deal to acquire Performancing. For now, the reason which is being speculated for this backout is that Performancing has chosen to no longer provide the free blog metrics service.
For now, PayPerPost is seeking another analytics solution to integrate into the PayPerPost marketplace. If your company offers a robust analytics solution with consistently accurate data reporting, they want you to drop them a message.

Thats good DJ, but it seems that they won’t be acquiring it now. They’ve clearly stated that on their Blog as well

Performancing wont provide free metrics from now on? That would be bad news. I hope atleast they continue providing their service for free to existing users.
However, at the same time providing a service like that is costly as it does use a lot of server resources.
