WordPress Drafts
Published by Sunny on January 19th, 2007 in WordPress tipsAre you a blogger? Have you ever faced the situation where you return home late in the night exhausted? Or did you have to go out of town far away from your computer?
In such cases, most bloggers would simply put off a post for the next day, but a smart blogger will always have a post ready for anyday. So how is it that you can go about doing this? Well, simple really. WordPress offers something called Drafts, through which you can save now, and publish later. Neat right?
How do i make drafts?
Incase you were wondering how to do this, its straightout simple. Just go ahead and write your article when you have free time. Then, instead of clicking on the Publish button, click the Save button. WordPress will now save your post as a draft, the very same way Gmail does for later use.
How do i publish the draft?
Once you have saved the post, your draft will now be seen at the top of the Write Post page. Clicking on it, will take you to the draft’s edit page from where you can make any necessary changes, and publish it. This way when you are out of town or don’t have the time and energy to blog, all you have to do is click on that draft and click Publish and your done!
So go ahead, write an article and save it for a rainy day, just incase.. ![]()
PS> This post was actually written two days ago and saved as a draft as well..
